I believe it is a female ruby throated - just with less pigmentation. But I am only an admirer, not an expert...thanks for looking!

This time of year it is really hard to tell what kind of bird we are looking at. It could be a first year something or a juvenile something else or a juvenile female something else. Hard to tell but for my money it looks like a Female Annas

Wrong area for Anna's. In New York, so my money goes to very pale Ruby Throat female. Anna's are a West Coast species.

The hummers in our yard in Massachusetts look very similar. We have rarely seen a male with the tell-tale ruby throat.
