Bottle Fly Face

I catch (and swat) an abundance of Houseflies as well as the much larger Flesh Fly however the Green Bottle Fly like this one are more of a rare find. I caught this one resting on the wall and I slooooooly placed the jar over it and then dispatched it for this magnified view and focus stacking session.

Tinusbum, thanks for the feedback. I'm highly impressed with your work with the Helicon Tube and it appears to be an amazing tool for focus stacking images in the field. I've had my eye on one of these and like chiggers, when I get the itch I have to scratch it.

Thanks, Kpmac. The Houseflies have red eyes and these have the dark eyes.
