Thanks for posting. At an air museum, I sat in the cockpits of a WW II P-47 fighter, and and an F-100 jet fighter. What amazed me, is that the instrumentation and controls in the two were almost identical. I suppose that made sense since they were only 15 years apart and totally analog. Not so, in the F-15 where almost everything is digitally controlled.
Excellent! My first thought was, how can they keep all those buttons, switches, gauges, and controls working? I was surprised to hear that the F-15 is that old.
Excellent video. Thanks for posting it. The basic cockpit layout of the flight instruments is very similar to the flight instrument layout in the T-38 I trained in back in 1965-66.

Yep and still to this day, one of the best... I would not want to go up against her (acft) in a dog fight, chances are I wouldn't be coming home, now ifn I was the Yeager man then all bets or off.......
In 1981 in 'Operation Opera,' Israeli F-16s took out the Iraqi nuclear reactor, with reportedly 14 of 16 bombs on target. The Israelis flew F-15s as cover for the F-16s that did the bombing. If the Iraqis had managed to scramble fighters, the Iraqi pilots would likely have met their 72 virgins and young boys. The F-15 has never been bested in air-to-air combat, and the Israeli pilots are no slouches...

Especially had it been fitted with stealth technology. It's a shame the prior regime killed it.

Understand that, but you have to realize that airframe is getting long in the tooth. Unfortunately.....
No auto-pilot for those long flights?
