Dandelion, water refraction

Dandelion clock, water/flower refraction.
Nikon D5300, Sigma 105 macro lens, remote shutter release, syringe, (water not glycerine), f45, ISO100 @ 6secs in a black light box.

Along with yr constructive critique I would appreciate ideas on what I can do to add/improve on doing this kind of photography?
Many thanks

VERY nice image. Looking at the download is a must.

I would use a spot removal tool to remove some little spots over the image as I find them a bit distracting.

Great thanks Juan I never even saw them until I just blew it up, a lot! Something needs a good clean.
It's good to actually get some positive critique rarely do I get an honest opinion.

Hi, Baz,

I’d suggest that when imaging a refracted image in a water droplet, that refracted image be the most precisely focused part of the entire image.

Keep at it. Very imaginative !

Best regards,
Dave

The image is beautiful and concept good but, because its colors are muted, think the thistle and droplet gets overwhelmed by the bright colors in the background. You might try Curves, turning down the green saturation a bit. I'm also wondering if a tight crop could help--even if a bit of the thistle "bleeds"; the droplet would show better.

A beautifully accomplished image. Download gorgeous!
The coiled white cable is a distraction, but fortunately can be cropped out leaving the entire subject with a bit of useful surround!
Well done!
