I'm kind of excited to post this photo but I'm also asking for a little help. Can anybody out there tell me what this car is? I know it's 1940-ish but what make and model? There are no legible emblems either inside or out. The interior is not quite as pristine as the exterior. I have books on the subject of old cars but I can't find this one. Whether you can help or not, I hope you like the picture.

What is it?
What is it?...

I could provide a Guess, although it would most likely not be real accurate, but here it goes, how about, I think, a Dodge DeSoto. what year ??? Let me know if I am even close, or totally wrong.

I think zgirl is right... a '41 Ford. It could be many different models, depending what the back end looks like.

zgirl is right - I looked up 1941 Ford and the front-end pictures look like this one. Congratulations zgirl.

It is a 41 Ford my father had one, he used to let me steer it sitting in his lap.

Yes, it's a '41 Ford. My second car was a '41 Ford convertible. My first was a '40 Ford coupe. God bless the flat heads!!!

zgirl and Bill...You win bragging rights or at least an "atta/girl(boy)". Nice going.
