Are liberal Jews dumber than plant life, and far more cowardly?

I've many times asked my Jewish friends how any of them could be Liberal or Progressive, and the answer seems to lie in the fact that they've never faced a deadly threat like the Holocaust. Yes, there's a lot of discrimination, but you'll find a great number of anti-war Jews, no matter what war. There's a huge contingent of Liberals in Israel who want peace at nearly any cost.
Here in the U.S., most of them are between one and three generations removed from knowledge concerning the Holocaust, and what Jews faced even in other countries.
Jews have a long history of nonacceptance by Gentiles. Starting in the middle ages, they were pretty much banned from the craft guilds. The Jews who had migrated from Eastern Europe weren't wanted in Western Europe.
However, being banned from the craft guilds wasn't all bad. Many of them accumulated huge riches among the mercantile class. Being flush with gold, they trusted their own to account for their riches. Once the word got out that they, as a rule, could be relied on for honesty and confidentiality, it wasn't long before the guilds, especially goldsmiths, began to trust them as a third party in gold dealing. That was the start of the banking industry. They soon figured out that they could loan out more than they had on hand, and the first reserve banking came about.
This is a slight oversimplification of the history, but you get the point. The term "Jew Banker" while a slur, does have its start in history.

At one time Islamic law didn't allow Muslims to charge interest. Christians also viewed interest as usury. Jews were allowed to charge interest to non Jews. So, Jews became Bankers. I believe Muslims are still not allowed to charge interest.
