Now this proves to be interesting. A new to me.
I believe these are the caterpillars of a Geometrid moth.
Typical leg, anal proleg arrangement for this family.
Geometridae. 2.54 cm, or inch, worms.
Why are the eggs laid in a spider web?
Many pros, the big con is obvious, but why does the spider not eat them?

Very interesting series! Perhaps the mother just laid her eggs wherever she settled, and it was by chance.
