One of the larger camera store chains in the U.S. headquartered in Cleveland Ohio,
temporarily closed its doors like many other businesses. It has branches around Cleveland and in Columbus, Dayton and Chicago. They are slowly opening up. The main store and one near Akron and a store in a far west
suburb have reopened. Today I received an email that they are closing their Mentor Ohio location. Of course it is only three miles from where I live. The closest store for me now is the downtown main store about 20 miles away. Go figure. I know from other Hogger posts on the same subject that many of you have it a lot worse than I do. Thank you for letting me vent on this topic. May all of you folks be safe and well.

Indicating the name of the chain would be useful for those living in the region.

The nearest camera store to me is 70 miles away and as much as I would like to support small business it's not convenient to make the 2-3 hours round trip. Ordering from B&H or Adorama brings what I want right to my door.
I think we are going to see a lot of businesses of all types closing their doors permanently thanks to this pandemic. Economic recovery will take time.

Still looking for the reason for "the vent". Wow, 20 miles vs 3 miles to main store, which is probably bigger & better stocked. Not like you are having to drive there every day to work.

No kidding! In Texas a 70 mile round trip isn't unusual for dinner!
Dury's in Nashville just closed permanently. Closest to us now are some stores on Atlanta and Indianapolis.
Wow, to have a camera store within 20 miles! 😁. The nearest one to me is a 4 hour drive! 🙁. Ok, sorry to hear about any business closing. 😢

I wish there was a nice camera store 20 miles from me!

I live in Annapolis MD area. Closest to me is Baltimore (1 hr drive) or Ace Camera in Fairfax VA (90 min drive).
I would consider myself lucky at 20 miles.
How about no camera storeonly the onlystore in the Nashville area just closed. I would settle for a 50 mile drive,

Please accept my apology. It is Dodd Camera. The only store that they have closed to my knowledge is their
Mentor Ohio branch. Maybe I am getting lazy in my dotage, but I guess I am somewhat fortunate to still have brick and mortar stores in my region to use.

Thanks (by leftists) to the political and media hysteria.

Same for Montana - I had a friend go to pick up some farm equipment that was at a location "just down the road" - the location being 150 miles away!
I don't know how far mileage wise my closest store is but it's in LA, who wants to drive to LA...?!
