I have been viewing your series from the start, Fantastic images!!!
But I would like to see some where the young lady is a sharp focus.

These are beautiful but like the Backstage series, I wish they were more in focus. But perhaps that's your style, part of your artistic approach. Beautiful work whatever the case.

Agree with focus comments. Also the grain of the pickets really throws my eye off - makes the whole image to be out of focus.
Nice idea. Nice Photoshop work.
Thanks for the comments. I agree with the picket throwing your eyes off, particularly in image 1, but somewhat in image 2. I thought about playing with it a bit more, getting it a bit sharper, but when I started I stopped as part of me liked the confusion about looking for a focal point in focus and part just wanted to post these the way I processed them a decade ago. The model herself is generally pretty sharp and that irritation of the pickets not in focus and the model in OK focus for some reason 10 years ago interested me. The final image is one of the few of the series that was not post processed 10 years ago, it was done now just cause I liked it. Going through all the ones I never played with and there are a bunch that are good enough to take to that level, but I don't want to post them here as that would take an already potentially repetitive series and take it to a much higher level of repetition. Maybe in the future I will toss some out as one-offs.

Out of focus and soft focus are two entirely different issues. These images are not out of focus and clearly intentional - a cross between infra-red and the Orton effect, I suspect. They work perfectly in B&W as opposed colour and show a great deal of creativity and forethought on the part of the photographer (unlike most of the stuff on here which is rather woeful) by way of model pose and use of props and background. Excellent series

I am of the same opinion.
