I thought I'd pursue this subject just a little further.

Door #2 for me, Mr G The (apparent) upward angle with just a hint of sky is very eye-catching. I love the details of the rocks and the tenuous existence of the flowers.

#1 hands down!
A slight crop off the right and off top will bring the flowers closer and greatly enhance the depth.
The depth and flowers strongly breaking the horizon are, for me, the major contributors of the great impact of the image.

Beautiful! I’m 1500 miles from any such scene!

Y’r Cos in the northern plaines

Glad you enjoyed, Ms S. It was the two flowers growing in the crack in the rock that caught my eye first. And the upward angle is more than just apparent. That rock face is nearly vertical. Thanks for commenting.

Beautiful R.G.. #1 does it for me. I love the flowers stretching out to get a view of the water.

Thank you Coz in the Territories. I was concerned about getting everything sharp because it was a struggle perching where I had to perch and trying to get the right focus point. I initially planned to have all of the flower heads against the sky but when I got into position I saw it made a better composition the way I shot it. Looking at that drop through a wide angle lens was an interesting experience.

Thank you Keni. Perhaps I'm being influenced by current events but I thought it looked a bit crown-like .

Well worth the continued pursuit, R.G. I like both 1 and 2.

Very resilient flowers. They will grow anywhere. I particularly like your first image.

Thank you Frank. #1 also shows how wiry the grass is on the cliffs and clifftops.

Thank you Ed. It was the second one that caught my eye when I was out for a walk. It's why I went back to that part of the cliffs.
