Both my parents were Stanford grads and in fact that's were they met. I remember this church growing up because even very young I realized just how beautiful it was. I was in the Bay Area many years ago to go to my brothers wife's memorial service and we stayed at a hotel right next to Stanford campus so I made it a point to take my boys to see the place where I spent so much time as a kid. Of course in reality most of that time was at Stanford stadium watching football with my pops and tailgating in the most awesome alum section ever. But that being said places like this church held a special memory for me.
The photos are just a few of that trip with my twin boys to show them this really amazing university.

CS - you just reminded me...I meant to include a link to get some background on this structure. You really cant get the scope of this until you go inside. The vaulted ceiling above the pews in the foreground of the interior shot is made of heavy timbers and is as impressive as the main dome. The frescoes and stained glass are incredible as well.

I haven’t been in a long time but I think maybe more than you might think. Stanford sports recruit heavily from Christian Schools including a bunch of Catholic schools here in San Diego.
