I need help in finding a Christian theme to take pictures. For example: Churches, Christian signs on buildings, crosses on churches, photos to show God's glory, power, love, etc. I've ruled out landscapes, animals, rainbows, etc. Any ideas would be much appreciated. I'm trying to figure out how to use my camera for God's glory. Stay safe, Blessings, Bob

Think of phrases or verses from your favorite hymms and look for subjects to illustrate them. Include some negative space to add the words in the frame.

Subjects to illustrate the Beatitudes.

Action shots to illustrate the Works of Mercy.
To feed the hungry.
To give water to the thirsty.
To clothe the naked.
To shelter the homeless.
To visit the sick.
To visit the imprisoned, or ransom the captive.
To bury the dead.

Then use it as well as you can. Period.

Whatever you do, do it well, do it with integrity, don't sin, and give thanks to God for it.

That's glorifying God with your photography (or anything else for that matter)

PS: Don't forget to tell people the good news while you are out taking pictures, spreading the gospel is about a billion times more important than anything photo related.

Hi Bob,
You have been given some good ideas for the subject. I like the one using a theme - the Beatitudes. as it gives a range of photo's.
I consider important to give God Glory by producing the highest possible quality picture - something that really stands out and gets attention.
Try to make them 'different' viewpoint - lighting, depth of field. sharp focus on the main subject - and avoid photo editors that take over and use 'artificial intelligence'.
S.P.

A lot of good ideas above, but it seems like you've ruled out most of God's creation. Why?

Matthew 6:28-29 (KJV) 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Matthew 6:28-29 (KJV) 28 And why take ye thought...

You have a nice photo ( Also supporting Luke 12:27 )

re: it seems like you've ruled out most of God's creation. Why?

Hi, If you re-read the beginning of what I wrote: " You have been given some good ideas for the subject " I was adding support to what had already been suggested, not ruling them out. The beatitudes are the words of Jesus and gives us a challenge to find or create pictures to help people remember them.

This is one that nearly supports Psalm 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
The waters are not too 'still'.
