Welcome to the "Transportation" Challenge. Feel free to include images of your favorite ways to go from one place to another, or images of how you'd like to go from one place to another.

Just a couple reminders: please, keep it "family friendly," and while this falls under the "Photo Contests, Challenges, Periodicals," the only prize is knowing you contributed something that other members might enjoy. Also, unless someone specifically asks for advice on how to improve their image, please refrain from providing critique. There is another section on UHH for just that, but this is not that place. This is the place where we just kick back and have fun.

Hope you enjoy.

Tim

OK Tim.....This transportation idea sounds like a fun Challenge to me. A couple of memorable moments come immediately to mind, but will require some digging further 1st. Will be back!

Smiling as I try to envision you putting over 152,000 miles on your John Deere! Also glad to see someone else who stores empty boxes in their garage. The next time my wife brings up that question...."Do you really need all these boxes?"......I'll respond with....."Well Tim has a pile in his garage!" She'll come back with..."WHO?"
At least you still have a great head of hair. My coloring seems to be heading your direction....finally! This time frame is allowing me to rethink "life" a little differently. Later...Bob PG 1

I can't wait to see what you have for us, Bob!

Most of those miles were put on my car when I was still working. I retired in 2012, but was averaging about 35,000 miles a year up to then...now, it's less than 2,000 miles a year.

Every time I cut those boxes down to get rid of them, I wind up needing a heavy box to pack more junk in...sigh. Oh, I saw on another of your posts that you're still working at what, 79? Good for you! As far as the color of my hair, it went gray when I was about 36 or so...right after I got married...lol

Pg 1 - Awesome series, Richard, and a great
example of "transportation." Really love #1.
We camped out for many, many years, but
that is what I'd call bare bones camping!

Thanks Tim. When you are on the road for 4 weeks, and on a small motorcycle, you have to travel very light.
(Edit: Uluru is the correct spelling - my mistake).

Not the greatest photo, majorly cropped for detail. The other day I looked up while in my backyard and thousands of feet up where commercial airliners fly I saw something weird. It looked like two planes on top of each other. It wasn’t until I edited the photo that I saw it was a plane refueling another, pretty rare and cool.
