I use to love going to the capitol building when my ex and I lived in Killeen. We would make a big bowl of popcorn and feed the squirrels on the grounds. Of all the capitol buildings I have visited I think Texas's is the best. Thanks for the reminder.

I live in NC but I was born and raised in Texas and will always be a Texan.

Yes, Dodie, there's something about Texas. I've been to prettier states, and states with better weather. But they aren't Texas. I think Texas is a state of mind, rather than anything physical.

I agree!!! I wouldn't move back to El Paso but I will always be a Texan.
