Yes, another granddaughter photo. She's my favorite model, and it's always a special pleasure to catch her in the late afternoon light.

I can easily see why she is your favorite model. The evening light was magnificent and you used it to good advantage.

Such a breathtaking rendering of your angelic granddaughter... lovely loop lighting scenario... superb use of 70mm at f/2.8 to yield an ethereal aura to this enchanting portraiture...

Food for thought... Brightness of her right shoulder's rose pink jersey pullover competes with that of her gorgeous facial skin tones... The standard "fix" in a commercial scenario would have been to swap out the vibrant pink hue for a muted burgundy of deep plum garment... There are compelling reasons for having a wardrobe stylist on set for commercial work... However a kludge workaround might be selecting this distracting area with the Magic Wand in PS (using an appropriate feather value) which might possibly allow remediation... Sadly "fixing" in post is a poor substitute for scrims or flags...

Note: A beauty of using direct sunlight for portraiture are results are clearly evident before the capture (unlike with studio strobes and speedlights or speelites for Canon users) that said, the harsh deep shadows leave much to be desired thus the heavy use of scrims for commercial work... The dynamic range of our eyes far exceed that of even the finest image sensors thus shadow contrasts are typically greater than that through the viewfinder... In this example the nose shadow is rather pronounced... Moving forward your work might possibly benefit from deploying scrims gym...

Hope this helps a tad more then a couple of quintessential emojis... which seem to abound on UHH... Wondering why some on UHH seemed to have forgotten how to use the written language?
Thank you to those who actually provided relevant feedback... it is deeply appreciated...

Wishing you all the best on your epic journey gym... Looking forward to more of your elegance artistry...
btw, What would a University Professor think if they received a student's paper dotted with emojis? touché

Such a breathtaking rendering of your angelic gran... (show quote)

Thank you, Thomas, for your very detailed and helpful commentary. Yes, I agree completely that the nose shadow is pronounced, and I could have found a shady spot to eliminate it entirely. I do own scrims and will occasionally (but not often) use them. However when I'm out with my granddaughter, I usually have only the camera and her. I like her to be spontaneous, and have found that the best poses come when she's not trying to give me one. :-) In this shoot, I have another that I like a lot better because she is being her natural 'self'. I've attached it to this note.
Thanks again for your critique. It's always welcome and always helpful.
