Bridge construction circa 2011. Think this is about 8 shots on a Canon 5D with a Canon 70-200 f/2.8 lens on a tripod.

Did you shoot horizontally or vertically? I would have liked more foreground and sky. Interesting shot.

I shot vertically and I agree, I wish there was some more foreground, particularly the bottom right, but without some heavy photoshopping the info just wasn't there. There maybe some additional sky in the originals, but I was starting to not like that big blob of blue on the top left, but a bit more above the crane would not be a bad thing. This was about 10-years ago, not too long after I moved from film to digital and my pano skills were still on the learning curve, particularly regarding framing and giving yourself a little extra room sometimes.

Thanks for the answer. Might explain why you used the 70-200. Kind of long for this scene.

Well, your question caused me to relook up the original images and I was wrong. I shot horizontal and it was my Canon 85mm lens. This may be the image that convinced me to move from horizontal to vertical shooting. The closest point of the bridge is approximately 1500 feet away and the far end is pushing 1.75miles. Thanks for the comments.

I had the feeling you shot horizontally. Good lesson. Keep shooting panoramas.
