It guess a yellowlegs. Without some scale its hard to tell if it is a greater or lesser yellowlegs.

This is a Greater Yellowlegs. The bill is longer, a bit thicker, and slightly curved upward when compared to a Lesser Yellowlegs.

Wow, thanks for your detailed info. They eat small bait fish in this muddy wetlands creek in Central New Jersey.
