Overall very beautiful work. I did see in some shots where his dark areas went too dark (may only be the way my screen is interpreting the shot). I'm a big Ansel Adams fan where he said even the darkest areas of a photo should show some detail as well as in the brightest areas. All the bright areas of his photos are handled very well as in the wedding dress in one shot.
It's obvious that this guy is a consummate professional. As the Rembrandt style of lighting (often called 'short loop' as well) is the lighting of classic portraits, any budding portrait photogs in our group might do well to think about taking his course. I'm in no way associated with this guy, just a retired portrait and wedding photographer, but his photos demonstrate that what he has to say is worth hearing.
