..So I went after the Atlas Comet again. C/2019 Y4 (Atlas)

Had a fantastic night! I got onto it much post meridian, but hey, I'll take it!
I did my Model building (Losmandy speak for alignment +) and got onto the comet with Stellarium. I discover how to Synchronize the mount to the target, and it locked on. Veery Interestink!
Set PHD2 to guiding, and ran off enough images to try a variety of settings. Finally, bored with manually collecting, I opened Sequence Generator Pro and started a practice Sequence I had made as a basic for me.
I might get this yet.
It took off gathering it's fit's files, and clicked along, taking 50 second images, with a 10 second storage pause.
I still am having some small problems with controlling it, and stopping it. But making progress.
In the wee hours I tried different lengths of single exposures out to 300 seconds (5 minutes) just for giggles.

One of my burning questions is: If this is breaking up as it is said to be, what are the possibilities of some blue ice falling on us?
As with all of my images, please feel free to download and process yourself. These are Tiff format. I have a ton of these in various sizes. These are all from the Infinity. And if preferred I can PM or email fits files.
OK, almost time to start the show.

So here comes the comet...

90s reworked in PS, I thought this was particularly interesting as a meteorite appeared in it on the first image.

Neat photos! I thought I read an article that mentioned the best viewing was gonna come in May. I'm hoping to get a shot of this thing with my regular canon 100-400 sometime.

Is it really breaking up? You got a great image of it. Couldn't open the download for some reason.

I tried to reduce the noise a bit, but not sure I helped.

Nice capture of the comet and meteor. I'm redoing my mount and waiting for the concrete to dry and hope to shooting again in a couple of weeks.

Thank You Don!
I'm trying to catch as catch can.
It is giving me a repetitive object as it runs near the North Polar Axis.

Hi Larry!
Better yet, I can give you Stellarium
You can use the cool online version, and search for C/2019 Y4.
Or just click this link: https://stellarium-web.org/
The comet is virtually live on the web version. So when ever you open it, you should have a representation of that time.

I prefer to use the downloaded and installed version. I have gotten so use to Stellarium, I use it as my Planetarium software, and it takes my mount and telescope to many wonderous places in the night skies.
And it doesn't have clouds, or light pollution, or nothin.

Basically, it is tracking left of the North Star (Polaris) during my evening time. But is circumnavagating Polaris. (Going around Polaris as the Earth rotates.)

Here is a ton more info.

I hope you can. You probably have as good of luck as any of us. It will be hard to spot in your FOV.

Thank You, Mike!
My weather has been nothing short of stupid.
So when I do get a chance I jump on it.

I'm trying to find a program that will do the work automatically. But I take a bit of time to figure things out.
And I don't want to do hours and hours of Post Processing.

I might be one of the laziest Astroimager's around. I just want a point and shoot, find and solve, and greet me in the morning with beautiful files and a cup of coffee.
Why is that so hard to find?

LOL! I have 3 programs I'm trying: Sequence Generator Pro (only saves in fit file format); N.I.N.A. Kind of a pirated version of SGP;) And Sharpcap.
The winner takes all, and the rest go out the computers fan (deleted) in a cloud of green fart dust.

As I've been watching this, it has had times where you can see the fragments trailing it.
I'm predicting Comet Snow next winter.

The downloads are tif format, as you figured out. Beautiful Post Processing there, BTW, Thank You for sharing it!
I'm sorry it is noisy. So many variables, so little time. Sometimes I win, Sometimes zee Bull wins.
But I do like what you were able to pull out of it.

Whenever I download a tif file, I see it as a downloaded file down along the quick menu. I learned to set mine to open automatically. A little dangerous, but I'm a risk taker anyway. LOL!

I still haven't been able to see it, let alone image it. Maybe tonight.
