I posted two very different photos of my granddaughter, one that I felt was light and airy and the other dark and moody. The exposure on both photos was virtually the same. The light and airy photo was f/8, ISO-100 at 1/160. The dark and moody photo was f/7.1, ISO-100 at 1/160, the only difference is the background and the lighting.

Very lovely young lady. You did good picturing her with both moods.

My vote goes to the serious, more thoughtful one.

I also like the moody one. Creates more emotion. But both great photos.

Excellent management of high- and low-key lighting. I particularly like the moodiness of #2 (perhaps add a smidge more space on CL--seems a bit cramped), but #1 is terrific, too. Lovely girl--she looks like good company.

Beautiful, keep the boys away. The eyes have it and the pictures are noticeably sharp.

She is just as cute as can be. My "vote" would be for the first as it is more natural and the lighting is spot on. That smile is perfect - not forced or strained from holding a pose.
