I'm checking out the expressions of the people that are checking out the rest of the crowd.

Some of these are nice shots, but they seem to be more character studies of people than street shots. I did enjoy seeing them, though.

While I like the photo I think your shot would be more worthwhile if it included this man's relationship to those around him. How many people are there, what is happening that he is looking at, is he alone or by himself?

Forgive me if I sound critical. I don't mean to be. I am trying to offer a suggestion to make your street shot more than portrait of one person.

I only see one photo of the gentleman. Are there more photos? You mention, these are nice shots, indicating plural.

Dennis when I take candid pictures in a large crowd (there were 2000 people attending the event) I typically do not interview the person after I take the shot, I’m just trying to let the picture tell the story by the persons facial expression, stance, etc. then I move on to the next interesting looking person. Thanks for your comments, I’ll consider an interview with the right subject in the future.

Somehow my friend you have missed my point. My apologies if I did not state my post correctly. I don't want you to interview anyone at all. I appreciate the facial expression of the gentleman in the one photo I see posted. My comment was that the photo is more of a portrait of that gentleman rather than a street scene where a number of people are photographed OR that the scene the man is involved in be shown. It is the man's interaction with others at the event that makes it a street scene.

Again, sorry for any confusion,

Dennis

Dennis - Thanks for the explanation, NOW I get it. (I'm just learning this stuff. Suggestions and tips like yours are a big help.)
