A Vote for the Epson ET-2760 Printer

I am very happy with my new Epson ET-2760. It's an all-in-one ink tank printer. After printing almost 2,800 pages with lots of text, the black ink level was above the halfway point, and colors were at about 80%. The first one I received exhibited banding in colored graphics, so I returned it for a replacement. I look forward to decreased ink costs, even using Epson ink.

To fill the four tanks, you open the tank, remove the top from the bottle, turn it upside down, and snap it into the top of the tank. It stops filling when the tank is full, and there is no spilling. The paper supply is inserted so that it's standing up in the back of the printer, and it's very easy to load, unlike some other back-loaders I have used. It does duplex - double-sided - printing automatically, a feature I really appreciate. After a period of time, it goes into sleep mode to save power. It works well as a copier, and it can be setup to print via Wi-Fi, but I don't need that.

One feature I've never seen on a printer is counting the number of copies printed, both B&W and color. I can access that through the maintenance menu.

I guess I have to complain about something, so here goes. The control panel is hard to see unless it is well-lit. There are the typical arrows, and "OK," but there is also a diamond that is sometimes pressed instead of OK. You have to check the LCD to see which one to press. In addition, there is another button with a downward-facing triangle. The text on the LCD is tiny. Those are minor complaints, though. Oh, there's no paper manual, disk, or printer cable. I downloaded the digital copy of the manual, but it would be nice to turn pages to find an answer, although I don't plan to print the 237 page manual.

I see it's no longer available directly from Amazon, where I paid $220, delivered.

That'a my concern. I was looking at "eco tank" printers at Staples and the tech guy pointed out it only has 4 colors whereas my Canon has 6. He said it's great for normal printing but not as good at photos, for that reason.

I don't print many photos, and I don't want to waste the ink and paper testing it.

I'm guessing it would do a good job with them.

Once again, I'm surprised at the negative reviews. I had no trouble with setup, and no trouble feeding the paper through it. I brought some cold paper in from outside and that worked fine, even without fanning it.

I replaced my Epson Artisan 800 with an ET 2760, only because of the ink, not because of problems with the printer. I always used the high capacity cartridges (98), but recently, the only way to replace one of the color cartridges (98) was to purchase a multi-pack of 3 or 5. The photos that I have printed on the 2760 are acceptable in 4" x 6" size, but if I want a quality print, I still have my Artisan 1430.

My Canon IPF 6100 printer takes 12 different ink cartridges. (including 2 blacks and 2 grays) If I buy Canon ink cartridges, they are $80 each, so $960 to replace them all.

I have an ET-3760 and didn't know about the History Report. Thanks for that info. Since Sept 2019 I've printed 3589 pages of which 2420 were printed double sided. That has already saved me the cost of over 1200 sheets of paper.
I love mine and for 8x10 size color prints, I really can't tell the difference from my 6 color stylus Photo 1400.

Hi group,
I have the Epston ET 4550 bulk tank. I prints picture fairly well using the "Vivid" print setting but everyone is right, it is not a 4 color printer. I think the pictures are about 95% as good as the ones I've seen printed with the 6 color printers. I find the picture good enough for self-published books but will not make a wall hanger. Take care & ...

I keep wondering why no one makes my kind of printer 13x19 prints for photo or documents only with up to 8 ink tanks and the ability to make panorama's of at least 36-48 inches. They only want to make all purpose printers with four ink tanks.

I use my ET4750 to print red river 8 1/2” x 14” color pictures and since I used spyderprint to calibrate it the prints look great. It just sips on ink. For an inexpensive usage of ink it does great. But I had to calibrate for red river paper.

I purchased the ET-2760 last November and installed it. Unfortunately, it had problems loading paper. Took it back the following week and Office Max had the ET-4760 on sale for the same price that I had purchased the ET-2760. So I exchanged it and love the eco tanks. The following day my Cannon printer went out so back to Office Max where i purchased another ET-4760. Now I have one for the office and the other for use at home. Prints great 4x6" photos and okay 8x10s. Anything larger I have a professional print done.
