Just before Colorado imposed a lockdown for the Coronavirus, I had a case of cabin fever. After work Tuesday I grabbed my camera bag and headed west of downtown Denver to grab some shots of Amtrak #6 coming down the hill towards the depot.
Photo #1- The train rounds what is known as Big 10 Curves as it drops down the steep hill. The hopper cars in the background are welded to a separate piece of track and filled with rock to serve as a wind break to protect trains on the edge of the hillside from the ferocious wind that sometimes blow here.
Photo #2- The train continued down the hill at Rocky siding. There's cows on the hill about the train and I heard the engine crew call back to the train crew that there was a herd of elk on the hillside above the train.
Photo #3- #6 continues across the east switch of Rocky siding. The sign to the right in the photo is for westbound train crews. It tells them to switch their radio to "2323" display on their communications radio.
I was glad to get out before the lock down orders were issued....

Nice images, but they need color correction. Note the sign on the equipment cabinet (CP D8016 ROCKY) in photo #3. It's background is probably white. Use the color balance function in your editing software to balance the color on that sign and your photos should look correct.

The sign on the signal box is made with scotchlite and tends to be an off white. It reflects so train crews can read the sign using their headlights.

Then I would use one of the snow banks as your reference. Once you adjust the color balance to something that is even close to white you can tweek your color balance if necessary.
Your photos are excessively blue. Another way to compensate is to use the color temperature adjustment in Lightroom Classic CC's basic panel or another editing program. Moving the slider to the right (yellow) will reduce the blue cast. You can eyeball how much correction you will need.
This isn't perfect, but it will give you the idea.
Thanks for sharing. Nice series. And temp correction improves your picture.
