I recently started using the new iPhone 11 Pro. I snapped this photo of my cat Tiger while he was sitting on our white quartz counter. The lighting effect is a built in function of the portrait mode. The only editing was some cropping and adjusting the highlights down slightly. The only lights are overhead.

Very well done. This image puts a perspective on camera "sensor sizes" and image quality for there is much debate here about full frame vs. crop and micro 4/3 sensors.

The image is only 2.8 mb. You cannot go to large on a print. There are trade offs depending on what one needs the final format photo to be.

Yes indeed, the only limitation that I see is print size. If you’re not into that, they’re just great devices. Every single camera has its limitations and the trick is to get the best photo that you can within those limitations. And now I expect to hear that the top end very expensive cameras don’t have any limitations - except for price. For most of us, that’s a biggy.

Great shot,. Makes you wonder why we lug big DSLRs about, l sometimes upscale pictures my partner takes on her iphone and they print to a4 with no problems. Plus all the filters/digital trickery these phones have inbuilt would take me ages to do on PS (not that good at pp) they certainly are coming on in leaps and bounds especially for people who only post to the interweb.....👍

I MIGHT RECONSIDER BUYING A SMALL (fixed lens) CAMERA FOR CONVENIENCE PURPOSES. AND A IPHONE 11 INSTEAD.

This is a wonderful photo you can see the cat’s very soul. I have an iPhone 8 and I use it all the time. I still love my lumix cameras and lenses for thought out work but I am like most people in that I want to capture an image and the iPhone is in my pocket.
