The photo is superb!
I would urge a visit to Watkins Glen. It is absolutely beautiful and a lot of fun to walk the entire gorge. And don't miss the numerous wineries in the Finger Lakes region. Start sampling the great wines in the morning, especially the late harvest and ice wines, and feel . . . ahhhmmm . . . shall we say. . . pretty good . .. at "HIGH" noon? . . . Then hand your camera to someone to take your picture . . .

Larry, it looks like you are well on your way to doing very well with this software.

OK, this the the photo I tried to post previously. It is a 5 image focus stack of the area known as the Cathedral. Although I took it a year and a half ago I never had the software to process it until now. It is my first attempt at this sort of process.

Thanks for looking and enjoy the download.

Don't know when I get to post a "new" freshly taken image, I do have a few folks have never seen before that could be posted.

Stay well (and inside and in place)

Gorgeous and a must to download. The layers in the rock and course texture make a stunning photo.

That place is fantastic, there summer 2018, best when water is Flowing very good, May, June, July, maybe April, I was to return one day with friends from Michigan
If a dry Spring and early summer, may not be as good of experience. Great place for Photography, but be careful of possibly getting wet from many Waterfalls, can be slippery also, wear good shoes with Traction.

Thanks for the report on the Glen.

The download is stunning Larry, love the composition, detail and colours.

Thanks Sylvia. I don't see the technique being used for everything, but it certainly has its time and place.
The detail of the rocks make it work well here.

Thanks. This was done in late October. I went then because of the color of the leaves. I thought the red/brown leaves on the rocks would be stunning, and for me it worked out. I'm sure it looks very different in the spring or summer. Vineyards were really pretty dead looking that time of year. I was there for 3 days and worked from before dawn into dusk to get photos everyday.

Thank you. The focus stack thing is pretty simple. The computer does most of the work You just follow the steps. But it does take time to process the images. Give it a try. :-)
