Yea, it's going to happen.

The biggest problem is where does 90% of the stuff we buy come from...........

All three of them if you pay attention to constant drumming up in media. There is corona virus. kovid19 virus and new corona virus. All this for maximum media impact on people. It sure is a serious flue like virus allright but its made much bigger in the propaganda, sadly/

I believe you are wrong. I don't think this is a media hype, unlike the political biases. The numbers and the death toll are. motivating enough.

Yes this is serious but the media don't provide a calm reasoned approach to this or many things and thus could be accused of making things worse when people need assurance and common sense.

The stats you are looking at ARE WORLD WIDE. The stats are minor compared to the number of incidents and deaths from regular flu.

You are right about deaths from the flu. I think the number in 2017-2018 was over 50,000.
The difference is the flu season has a time frame. So far we do not know if this does.

Another difference is there is no covid-19 vaccine - no protection against it.
