Sarah Valentino owns a stylish little boutique with her mother who is an older version of Sarah. They needed photos for their web page. I wanted to shoot with them both, but Mom was just not up to it. Too bad. Nikon D800, 50mm, ISO 400. Lit with two Alien Bees main with a beauty dish and fill or back with a 28" soft box. scrims. The last one shows the set up. I love this girl! C&C appreciated.

She is one of the ladies that look's good in black with black hair . I love the look in the first two photos , even though she has a ring in her nose . I noticed my eye was drawn to a couple of out of place color spots in her hair on the right side of the photos I would of removed in the first two photos , but that is just me . Other than that , very nice

I am not a fan of tattoos nor facial pinnings. But that is my personal predilection. I viewed the photographs without allowing my predilection to influence me, though.

She is a very attractive model, nonetheless. The shots bring this to the fore. The one adjustment I would do is brush the forelock over to separate it from the brow line. As it lies, it makes the brow very prominent looking. It also makes her look very foreboding, and too "Goth". Since the intent was for advertising, opening the area of the eyes will go a long way to draw the viewer in. Also it will show off her personality.

My two centavos.

I like the first two but the third is my favorite. It appears you captured her true self.

I have no problem with the tech end. I just can't handle any woman with tattoos or facial hardware. I still remember the pre 80's women who went without disfigurement. I'm 86 and that should come as no surprise after expressing myself.

Wonderful portraits, too bad mom wasn't up to it, maybe later.
