Playing with an older panorama from 4 years ago. Its a 9 panel stitch and some processing post merge in Lightroom.

Not sure if I like or hate the sun reflections. Comments about that or the shots ?

Including a 'final edit' is there a visible difference ?

Opening each image in separate tabs and clicking back and forth between them I don't see any difference. That includes in checking several places in double-download mode. Maybe it's my laptop.

Thanks for looking at it - the biggest impact I was trying to achieve in the final edit is the sky and where the sky can be seen behind the leaves. On my monitor, the noise is reduced and the vegetation sharper. I have been wondering if my extra time spent on the final edit is worth it and if most people could see the difference.

Thanks for letting me know for your setup, there does not appear to be any change. Wonder if others see improvement in the final.

I think you had a very good start but it fell short. The scene and lighting were good but the sun and reflections distract me. The blue of the sky having very few clouds is very pretty. The foreground is sharp The sun forced the left into the shadows creating an unpleasant conflict with the right side of the print. I would crop of the left side and remove the reflections and wisps of clouds.

The real missed opportunity is not shooting vertically. I suspect you shot horizontally but correct me if I am wrong. I do not like how the tree top is lopped off and would like to see more of the foreground and sky. I typically shoot vertically with a lot of overlap and as far as I can horizontally. That way, I have more cropping choices in LR.

Thanks for posting and let me know what you think.

Thanks for the input. Yes, back then I was still shooting pano's horizontally. The biggest issue I am seeing is the foreground. I remember shooting so that the overgrown and browned foreground that - at the time - I thought was overwhelming and non-descript. These days would have included more and give myself more cropping possibilities. One of the things I kind of like about the image is the dark to light movement withing the image. Thats why I included the sun/flares. Maybe I need to re-evaluate that aspect.

Appreciate your comments
