This is nice! The setting and composition and colors are appropriate.
Lots of potential stories here: Did I make a mistake? Where did he go? Is he coming back? I should have listened to dad? And on and on.

This one is very well the best storytelling photo of the day. Congrats on a fine photo.

Thanks - in the early '90s - before I moved here - I tried to get on the property to "shoot" it but was turned away because they still were using out buildings on the property - after moving here - 25 mi away in '05 they have had 2 or 3 "photographers days" as fund raisers for restoration and the photo ops have been endless with volunteer as well as paid models sharing their talents. I have gone 3 times in 15 yrs - time to go again.
