Here is a shot of a BIF, that is not IF, but darn near almost always IF. This is the culmination of a couple weeks visiting the same pond watching these little jet fighters swoop over the water hunting bugs. It is a swallow. Rare to see one just sitting. This oppotuinty lasted less than a minute, then off it went. Never knew how colorful they were, cuzz they just don't stop. Quite a beautiful little bird.
Beautiful bird, but I believe it is a Yellow-rumped Warbler, also known around here as a "butter-butt."

Nice image. I agree; it's a Yellow-rumped Warbler.
Yes you are right. did a bit of research. My mistake.

Yes, a Yellow-rumped Warbler. These increasingly common warblers are interesting in part because of the variety of feeding behaviors they exhibit. They forage for insects, seeds, etc. on the ground, often found with sparrows. They flit about in bushes and trees, eating fruit, seeds and insects from branches and leaves. And finally, as you have observed, they fly out and capture flying insects out of the air like flycatchers, phoebes, swallows and swifts. Swallows and swifts use long sustained flights, chasing down insects throughout. Like flycatchers and phoebes, these warblers tend to perch on a branch then fly out after their prey, returning to a tree or bush to look for more to eat. I'm sure there are so many of them because they have so many ways to find a meal. These behaviors combined with their distinctive yellow rump patch distinguish this species. jak
