I was driving down a back road when I came upon this old tractor. It was the back wheels that initially caught my attention, so I turned around and had a look. A McCormick Deering Tractor -- Never heard of them. So, I took a shot.

I'm betting someone on UHH may be familiar with these old things.

Nice old tractor in pretty good condition. Even has a can over the exhaust stack to keep rain & snow water from getting into the engine. McCormick Deering was the forerunner of Farmall tractors and the wonderful International tractors of the 1950-1960 - 1970s.

Very nice capture. IMHO, some of the McCormick Deerings made a few decades later, such as the WD-6 and WD-9 were the prettiest tractors IH ever made. One of my grandfathers had a WD-6 that he farmed with.
