Thanks Torquil. It was really important to maintain a liveliness in the shadings of the brickwork and the values in general so with that in mind this was what I had come up with. Mark

I think the histograms are interesting to compare between your b/w and mine. Yours and then mine

Excellent job Mark! Your treatment certainly keeps the life in the brickwork that I had been depending on the color for, and you've also improved the the tonal separation among other features. Well done!

Thank you Jason. Its not that I didn't care for the color version. To my eye it did appear to have a slightly boosted saturation. Its a fine facade but the figure makes it ever so interesting.
