I'm confused marc what exactly am I missing if this doesn't fall under the Macro classification as these were shot with a 105mm macro lens in less than a 12" space?

Great shots! These pics would be better suited in "Close-up" section. Macro is anything that is pictured at 1:1 size. Just clarifying what others are talking about.
I use my Macro lenses for all my close-up work.
