Lo, Doc.
Thank you.
Must admit, haven't had a 'valentine' in many years.
You, due to your location, are about two weeks ahead of Annapolis in season.
There are a lot of arthropods astir, flowers blooming, tree changes, etc. here, about 70 miles west.
Going to do a drive around.
Centerville to Denton areas. Tho cold and windy, sunny. Should be insects moving in ponds and streams. We'll see.
Good day, Doc.
Bill

You're 100% right Bill. We have spring flowers poking up everywhere. Bushes are leafing out and flowering as are some roses! Been cutting back perennials at the Delaware Botanic Gardens and we saw an American Snout, Eastern Swallowtail and off in the garden a very large insect goes up and lands about 30 yards away. Flew like a Caelifera.
Headed to Florida State (Tallahassee) to help with a dragon survey in April. Come on spring!

A mating wheel is most unusual. No other insect mates in this way. Thanks for looking in and have a great day my friend.

I am somewhat disappointed.
No one mentioned that the 'wheel' is heart shapped.

I thought it was obvious but a lot of people just see the mating damsels.

Thank you Dave. I'm not sure how many people got the heart shape.
