After some very stormy weather I found a Sea Urchin which had been thrown up onto the beach. I have never found one with the spines still attached before or one so small before - about 1½ inches.

Brenda, this is a wonderful find and an excellent image. We are 1,000 miles in three directions from the nearest ocean so thanks for sharing yours.

Thanks Gary, I love the sea and it is the best place to walk my dog, he loves it too especially swimming in the summer.

nice!, I too love spending time close to the surf, and the drive through the redwoods to get there is always frosting on the cake
