Think of "texture". What comes to mind? Often, it is something coarse, rough, peeling, weathered. This challenge, to close out the first month of 2020 and usher in the second month (already!) will be to look for, shoot, post textures that are smooth or soft. Guess there should be a special "prize" for capturing both in one photo. Looking forward to your creativity.

Thanks, Richard, it is part of the dandelion family but like a dandy on steroids - called "goats beard": they are bigger than dandys an when going to seed they look like cotton candy.

Two gorgeous images to start this challenge, Pat...
this one should be fun, and I'm looking forward to
seeing what UHHers come up with.

PS - When do I get to drive the MGB?

P1. Blue looks very soft - nicely presented. I see the smooth edges on the steel.

p.1 I'd say that qualifies as smooth - the feeder and bubble around it.
