Actress Headshot...

Very simple lighting setup... (butterfly i.e. paramount)
28" silver parabolic as key (24" in front, 24" above)
30x40 inch foamcore reflector chest high just out of frame
60" octa behind talent for clean white BG

btw, agencies typically don't want to see much drama in headshots...
These aren't editorials...
Would have preferred gray seamless... Oh, well...

Thanks...

Thank Country Boy... btw, I'm a major fan of Beckley, WV... epic biking country just to the east!
I lived in Green Bank WVA for a while working on the Bath County Pumped Storage Project...
Took my son on Cass RailRoad (he loved it)

Thank you vonzip... your kind words mean a lot coming from a master of the craft...

I've totally enjoyed your epic images of Aves... which btw are the only surviving dinosaurs... a quick glance at their talons conjures up T-Rex and friends... birds amazing ability to fly and adapt to diverse food sources has gifted them with a range which spans both time and space... My all time fav is the Hummingbird... feed them all summer long... natures magical little gems... can't wait for their return!

Thanks much Thomas for the tall praise. I'm hardly a master, more of a journeyman but do the best I can and especially like photographing birds. vz

Very nice image!!!
I agree with on the back ground.

I used black seamless and lit it to suit the subject. You can get any color except put white using black.

As always, first class lighting. Not a fan of the straight on toothy smile - they tend to look forced to me.
