Any pointers on settings on camera and flash. Shoot some indoor real estate and animals in my yard at night
I have an SB-5000. It can be set to automatically zoom the zoom head to is widest or longest position when swiveled up to the bounce flash position.
Distance is displayed in meters by default. You can go into the menu and change that to feet.
If you double tap the info button on your D850, its LCD screen will show the SB-5000's display on the screen of the D850.

Thanks for sharing the pointers.
If you’re new to flash, start simple. For indoors, flash in TTL mode, camera in Manual, ISO 400, shutter at 1/200, F4.5. The shutter speed affects the amount of ambient light in the photo and the TTL feature on the flash gives proper subject exposure. Light from big windows on a sunny day can be subdued by a high shutter speed. Outdoor work is a bit different depending on subject matter but the fact remains that when using flash you have two sources of light to deal with, ambient and flash. Use shutter speed to regulate ambient light and set the flash and camera to regulate the light on the subject and DoF. I can’t describe it very well but I know what works for me.
