Hi All another in a different way I have been looking at some images. This big cat is at out local zoo and is in a somewhat unusual cage. It is in a quite heavy steel cable mesh tent on two poles with what can only be described as a counter around it. One visit I had the camera all set and then set a windup mouse on the counter and had it running back and forth with me shooting with frothing mouth and the cat with frighting concentration. I can only say I was pleased. Moral of story is buy a mouse for your pocket. Thanks for looking and please enjoy. RBorud

Russ,
Your mode of presentation is impressive and, IME, a uniquely effective technique, henceforth to be known simply as a “Borud Pentych”. Highly original! With no pun intended, it takes the triptych to “ a whole new level”. Its basic design commands involuntary and absorbing viewer involvement.
( Also called a “Grabber”) I easily brings to mind the space-time continuum as an aspect of presentation.
IMO a crucial aspect of your design is the organically and proportionatly symmetric reduction in size of the lateral components!

I could not be more impressed with your brilliantly creative, inventive vision!

It has stirred me to thought about new presentations not only of some of my photographs, but also of some of my stone and glass engravings...

Of course, there’s nothing new under the Sun,...it makes me think of some of the horizontally symmetric carved Mayan friezes and similar symmetric Hindu and buddhist friezes. But, again, no pun intended, you
bring horizontal symmetry - as well as creative asymmetry - to “a whole new level”!

The Borud Pentych could easily become a presentation Division of art shows. The challenge, of course, being selection of an image or image set most likely to be enhanced by this mode of presentation. some judges will will be challenged and disapproving, others will have a delighted field day with this presentation!

In my opinion you have started something of real significance.

Dave

I should, obviously, have made the point that the singular innovation of the Borud pentych, differentiating it from the ordinary, one-plane pentych, and of considerable design significance, is its multiple depth construction!
It takes a giant leap in its dimensionality from the that of the classic religious Russian hinged triptych.

The 5 part sectional photograph
Love it! Love it! Love it! 👏👏
The background not so much. Me thinks its too buzzy. Maybe just me. I did some testing before making this comment and have a different look if you'r interested.
I have been looking at my pictures for a long time trying to find the proper one for this technique to then print and hang on the wall. Yours is outstanding and so powerful I would be proud to hang on a wall.
