While the Northern Flicker sitting on a stick can be a beautiful bird, it can not be fully appreciated unless it is observed in flight. The yellow flight feathers are almost invisible until it opens its wings.

Beautiful! I have never seen photos of the flicker in flight. Wonderful series.

This is a beautiful set Sherwood. I have never seen a Flickr in flight. Very colorful.
