Thanks for the comments folks ... appreciate you looking & commenting. I would give my right arm to shoot a scene like that. That's Mother Nature at her best, in my opinion.

"I would give my right arm to shoot a scene like that." Likewise.

I bought some gear that is capable. It is always fun trying. My best is only a two eagles on a dock arguing over a fish and a video clip of a Yellowstone bear eating a bison. More will come.

I'd suggest that either of those would be exciting in their own right ... last Spring, I saw a grizzly sow & her 1 1/2 year old cub on a carcass with 2 gray wolves watching from a distance in Lamar Valley in Yellowstone. Then a big boar grizzly came over the hill & the sow & cub took off ... but they stopped at the top of a hill & watched, then went back to meet the big male grizzly ... & eventually bred ... but I was able to catch a shot of the 3 bears & 1 of the wolves ... (https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-598335-1.html). So treasure your eagle & bear shots ... & who knows we might both get lucky again. Best.

I always wonder if I would make the right decision to switch to video at a time like that.

Well, I already know the answer for me ... I wouldn't think to do it until the action was over. I just don't do much video ... but I'd hope I was with someone like that fellow was with, so 1 takes video & 1 takes photos. But if I captured what that fellow captured in his photographs, I wouldn't lament not having the video too much. That was a unique experience.
