250x60 seconds on the RASA.

Come on moon, go away, of course then the clouds will come.

If you all would stop buying new gear, maybe my skies would clear up. 😎😎😎

👍👍👍

Maybe Sonny doomed us for a month, stating that he was buying, but not until Feb, he is stretching the bad skies over a months time. 😀. I’ll soon be selling T-shirts that say “It’s Sonny’s Fault”

It's someone's fault, certainly not mine...oh wait there was that new Starlight Instruments focuser.

By the way your image is excellent. I assume you'll be adding more data once the moon isn't a problem.

VERY impatient!

Every time I look up and see stars, and I cuss. Because I see the winter slipping by.
But worse than that, my "accessories list" grows.

I did discover that there is a nice flat top on a semi-circle wall around the pool equipment (Currently under ivy) where I could mount an extension, and have a pier without digging. The block wall is very solid and stable. So I'm in a quandary about that.

And then discovered about a Polemaster 8, which promises one star alignments. Tack on $300.00
And a 12" extension, to make it a semi-pier configuration. Tack on $200.00.
But I have to decide on the spot about an MA, which I would mount on the wall. Tack on $100.00.
And I think I want a new Dovetail Plate so I can better adapt things like my focuser, or have more options down the road for changes. Tack on $85.00.

In plain Engrish, waiting get$ expen$ive, for me.
I'm still skeptical about the Polemaster. But one demonstration about it's use was quite impressive, and made it look very simple. I'd still want all my scopes to be accurately aimed at a common point (like Polaris). After aligning my Red Dot sight, Guide Scope, and Main Telescope together Life got a LOT easier. I'd have to get everything aimed at the Polemaster's view. Just because that's the way I am. Accuracy.
I can make the bottom line grow like the fires of hell.
Sigh... such a dilemma.

Thanks and yes assuming it’s still in my sights. I have very limited sky to view.

I have a polemaster and it works really well. I always had issues with doing it with PHD2 drift, probably mainly due to seeing.

I’ve been hearing so many good things about SharpCap Pro ($10/year) that’s really dialing in the PA. You may want to check that out and I’m sure it does other things as well. They may have a trial version.

PS stop shopping, we want some clear skies!

Blame it on the Stones.

I'm so rudimentary I never got PHD2 to drift align. I did get Celestron's PA program to work, and use to use it for a while. But eventually I just did some minor tweaking to center Polaris in my main telescope camera, did the 2 + 4 star alignment, and my subjects landed in the FOV. Then I'd center them up, start PHD2 guiding, and sucked the light out of them.

The weather will be what the weather will be.
