Abandoned locomotive in Birmingham

This was captured on Kodax TMX and developed in Rodinal in 1999, using my Mamiya C333 TLR. The Rodinal development made for very contrasty negs which are a little more difficult to PP in Photoshop. Winter time here in Nebraska is a good time to catch up on processing old images.

They are both good JackM but I still liked the first one better.

I love this shot, but why would someone abandon such an engine? I would think the recyclable materials alone would make it worthwhile, as well as there dozens of train clubs that restore these old engines.

I don't know Dave. This was taken over 20 yrs ago and I have no idea if it's still there or what happened to it. I might take a look on Google Earth and see if I can find it.
