Yes, you CAN upload images to Instagram from your PC or Mac without using your phone

If you are like me, EVERY event, someone asks me if I'm on Instagram. And, if you're like me, you spend a LOT of time with post and just don't want to upload images to your phone just to upload them to yet another platform. I do Shooting Sports events 3-4 times per month and that equates to WAY too many images to do the "PC to Phone to Instagram dance". Facebook is OK in some situations but just not all that. I've shied away from IG because it can be too tedious with my PC.
All that said, I've been doing some homework, a LOT of homework and found a GEM! The Vivaldi browser, yes, I know, another browser, but this one is PERFECT for Instagram. Once you have it on your machine, access Instagram in the search bar. You'll notice icons on the left side of the screen, click on the "+" icon and click "add". This will open the MOBILE Instagram application. It works the same as the app on your phone or tablet just on your laptop/desktop. Add new image/video file with the "+" icon at the bottom of the browser and you are off to the races!
You can download Vivaldi here: https://vivaldi.com/
I'm sure there are more ways to leverage this browser in our field. Pass along your successes and thoughts.
Hope someone else will find this helpful!
BTW, you can find me on Instagram at @shoottacticalphotography
***Disclaimer*** You may find yourself in front of your screen more than before, sorry...and, you're welcome!

This is not new. There are different ways to upload directly from a computer to Instagram. And as is evidenced by the images on Instagram, many of the photos there are clearly not cell phone pics.

Thank you for posting the directions and the link.

Lightroom Classic will sync any photos you tag to Lightroom "Cloudy" with a single check. There are versions of Lightroom Cloudy for everything, even the things that have Instagram on them. A couple clicks and it's there.

If you don't want to work through Lightroom Classic, every camera brand has a WiFi camera to phone link that only takes a couple clicks to get an image to Instagram.

My problem with Instagram is that I don't have enough followers to matter.
