I don't know how I got here but you're stuck with me.

I learned everything camera from a newspaper guy in the 70s with a Graflex and Yashika twin. You think the flash wasn't the key? My brother came home from Nam with a 35mm. A magical camera until I bought my first Nikkromat ft2 followed by a Nikon F (and not the power winder that wouldn't "make every shot count"), both of which are still my go-to film cameras. There was magic in the darkroom, the smells and, well, the magic.

I became a Photoshop master. It came easy because I'd learned the hard way in a wet darkroom. My first day on the computer was an "are you kidding me" moment. Click, click, click.

I was somewhat forced to digital. Turnaround, profit margin, instant customer gratification.

I bought a near-perfect Argus C3. In my arsenal is a Polaroid so I understand the focusing.

What I am seeking is insight on how to determine if the Argus is something I want to keep or put on the shelf. My city still has opportunities for film processing. Wow.

Interesting. A friend still uses his C4 and loves it. He learned the C4 while an Army photographer. Have fun.

My first 35 mm was a C3. My original one fell victim to tinkering. After bought a Pentax K1000, took the C3 apart and could not get it back together. Have another purchased from used camera store. Have not even tried it out with film. Now digital with Photoshop Elements 15, Pentax K-50 and Lumix ZS-60.

I'm a C-3 guy too. Graduated to an Exacta, a Nikon F and an F2. Along the way a Bronica S and a Yoshika twin lens reflex. Still have them all and use them occasionally. Enjoy the HOG and welcome.
