I only get to do this once a year.
I wonder why?
This is how it all starts out every year.

You forgot the tunnels to and from the next room and the trestle from one end table to the next.
By the way, do the kids get to touch or only the old guy?

Cool set-up. Plenty safe to "stand on" those tracks! When I shoot real RR's I try to stay off the tracks. But it can be tempting.

Nice Tom. There's no way my wife would let me do something like that. Lol

Have you considered Signage?
And every year there seems to be more track.
As the track went by every sitting place and the Christmas tree, was the train used to distribute the gifts. Every train worth its salt, hauls goods. Of course, you would need hijacking police.

Awesome!!! I know you had a blast putting it together and running the trains around.

Oh, no. There are plenty of tunnels. How else would I keep the electrical cords off of the tracks? And yes, the kids get to play with them. As a matter of fact, I ran out of 36" curve sections for something I wanted to do, so I hijacked my 9 year old grandson and it was off to the train shop. I told him what I needed and he grabbed the track. He had never been in there before. The funny part about it was, is that the store owner was at the cash register and my grandson commented that they had almost as much train stuff as I. The store owner then got weird look on his face.
There is the Crayola Crayon train running underneath the Christmas tree. It belonged to my daughter. I bought it for her when she was 5. She is now 29. It now belongs to her daughter, who is now 5.

Yes, the track getting kicked around a little is to be expected. This year, it hasn't been too bad. We had about 30 people over on Christmas day. No problems.

I got lucky. My wife likes trains also. She does think it got out of hand just a little. Really?
