Loveland Ski Area Snow Stake

Screen shot about 7 am this morning. Loveland is located on I70 right at the continental divide. Georgetown, CO is the closet town. The Eisenhower Tunnel goes right under the area. Looks like a honest 10” since 4 pm yesterday. For years I bought a season pass and would make there 5 to 7 times during the season.
A lot of skiers and boarders in the Denver area are going to be taking the day and heading up for all this fresh powder snow. The top (the ridge) of the area is at 13,010 ft.

Through high school and college, I skied at Loveland, and almost all of the ski areas in the Colorado Rockies. But, that was a long time ago.

I still enjoy skiing. My husband and I met in 1966 at Magic Mountain, Vt. We still ski. Mostly New Hampshire and Vermont. Never on the weekend.
