I'm still learning more about this Nikkor 200-500 mm. Same thing with the Nikon Z6 camera. It's getting better with these pictures here. I'm going to try the DX crop mode next to see how I like it. I think it's better than I thought.

Use the crop mode when you know you for sure you will crop in post. The iq will be the same as if you cropped it in post but it may save a little time. I use it often enough that I assigned it to the fn2 button and switch back a forth in a split second.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try that when I figure it out. I was thinking of buying a teleconverter but this might do it.

I just added this lens to my kit. I've taken a few test shots just to ensure the focus was working. (And there were no issues!) Thanks for sharing!

That 200~500 is a fine lens. Way better than the price point would suggest.

I think it sell for $1399 but I got mine from Nikon refurbished and 20% off for $879.97. Even better that way. I had the Tamron 150-600 mm and this lens is better. You might look at Nikon to see if they offer it like that yet.
I want the Z 70-200 mm s when they make it.

I was looking at your blog and like it a lot. As far as HDR goes try Aurora HDR 2019. I personally think it's the best one out there. The picture of the moon above was done in it. They really know what they are doing. I also use Luminar 3 and like that better than photoshop or LR.

Thanks to everybody here. I was out today with my Nikon D750 and Nikkor 200-500 mm. It seems to focus faster with the Nikon D750 than the Z6. I didn't get much because nothing out there today.
