Just returned from a weekend in Rockport Texas. Seeing the Whoopers has been on my list for a few years, finally got to it. Weather was outstanding, and the birds cooperative. They really are big birds, and seeing them next to the Sandhill Cranes really demonstrates that. The Black-bellied Whistlers were a bonus.

Really great photos! I love them, Whoopers are on my list too. Can you still buy fresh caught shrimp of the docks in New Bern?
