I started today taking the lxd55 mount apart and just after taking the counter - weight bar off , went for the saddle and to my surprise . The screws holding it down were rather easy {no breaking} the seat. as I lifted it off the gear, all matter of debris fell to the floor before my eyes . As I got it all the way off , there was debris everywhere{crumbs and powder}. My aluminum screw eye had desinegrated on the right side . Puzzled at the site " well it's not as bad as my parts mount" . I'll attempt get it back running if it's possible and in the meantime give it a good grease tuneup .

I'm pretty sure I have a good mount less motors I would give you if you pay shipping. I'm currently in Galveston Texas.

It's my Birthday today and I'm going to try and enjoy the homemade Carrot cake . Thanks for the assurance Marc . Alberio , I'll let you know after I attempt to get this old Po'man's mount running again . My biggest problem is my parts mount has the same eyelet messed up .

Well Happy Birthday to you. I was looking in my stash and wasn't able to quickly put my hands on it. I will continue to track it down in case you might still need it.

Is this what you were referring to heli coiling?
Sounds like you may have your work cut out for you.
There are other kinds of inserts too, if it gets too hairy to heli coil.
They are called Eazy Loc inserts.
Just to show you some other foods for thought.

I looked ino that and a lot of others and then watched a video on " pressure and stress test" in ft# and the helicoil was 900 ft # . That sold the deal for me Sonny , I'm wondering just how I can git r dun with what's left to work with. I'll look into easy loc , it does look like something that'll work with a big portion of the threaded hole missing . Thanks for the heads up , 2 heads are better than one.
